The Veterans of World War Two are currently dying at the rate of almost 2000 per day.

Of all of the wars of the 20th century, World War Two truly threatened our very existence as a nation and as a culturally diverse, free society.

We have written "Before You Go" as a profoundly heartfelt "Thank You" and tribute to the men and women who fought this worst and greatest of wars on our behalf, and who truly saved our lives and our way of life.

Our goal is to get this song to every living veteran of World War Two while we still have them, and to their families and survivors.

Please help us by forwarding this link to every World War Two veteran (or their families and descendants) that you know.

We have not thanked them enough.

Just click on this link to hear our song and view our show of thanks - then please send it on.

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,

who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,

who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet,

who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,

who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,

who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician,

Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN,

who salutes the Flag,

It is the veteran,

VA Offers Free Credit Monitoring Secretary of Veterans Affairs R. James Nicholson announced  June 21 that VA will provide one year of free credit
monitoring to people whose sensitive personal information  may have been stolen from a VA employee's home in May. VA  is soliciting bids from qualified companies to provide  expedited proposals that can be implemented rapidly. After VA hires a credit monitoring company, the department will send a detailed letter of explanation to people who may be at risk. VA expects to have the services in place and the letters mailed by mid-August. People who believe they may be affected by the data theft can visit www.firstgov.gov for more information.

They also can contact the VA call center toll free at 1-800-FED INFO (1-800-333-4636). The call center will operate from 8:00 am to 9:00 p.m. (EDT), Monday-Saturday as long as it is needed.

Vets for Freedom was founded by a group of Iraq and Afghanistan War veterans who believe in the mission of freedom in the Global War on Terror, but who have become frustrated with the way the operation has been politicized and reported to the home front.

In 2006, this group of veterans, enlisted personnel, and officers decided to take action. The result was the creation of Vets for Freedom, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the unbiased, nonpartisan truth of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, to educate the public and mobilize public support for the Global War on Terror.

The founders and members of Vets for Freedom have witnessed the firsthand events, both the successes and failures, of the wars in Iraq Afghanistan and beyond. While their voice has largely been ignored by many policymakers and the media, they have earned the right to be heard and will use this organization to lend their insights to this worthy cause.

The Following link says it all in fairly short order. It's titled, "Three Gifts You Can Give Returning Veterans That Will Last Them A Lifetime".
